In literature work in the setting, chimaeras appear in all kind of forms and sizes. They are the monsters that guard some treasury and valuable tools as weapons. A lot of abilities are given to them, making them the more terrifying to face. This is however in the fiction. The chimaeras that have appeared in the story are however not that far from those who are described in the literature work. Morbid mixes between all kind of creatures, the chimaeras are deadly foes. Often capable of using weapons and natural abilities of the animals that they are composed out of. Some are even more 'modified' to use enhanced abilities, most likely using chakra to use them, to be ever more deadly.

Lifestyle

It largely depends on what kind of chimaera. Though it's safe to assume that most of them were made to become predatory creatures, to be used as beasts of war and terror. Which as we can conclude by the setting, hasn't worked out for any nation that indulged into them.

Region of Appearance

Chimaeras don't appear in the wild as they are the product of human experiments. And most of these experiments, which date from before till around five years later the Great War, were left to rot and die in the hidden facilities on which dark and grim experiments were held. The only chimaeras that have been encountered in the story/setting were found in an underground facility that was abandoned by the researchers and maintainers in the Fire province, managing to survive on each other as well by some support of an unknown faction.

Strong Points

Varies among each kind of chimaera. Though it's safe to assume that the strong points rely on the animals that they are composed out off.

Weak Points

  • Unstable creatures: Chimaeras aren't stable creatures. Even though they would be terrifying creatures to face against, they wouldn't likely be capable allies either. With being nothing more than being mixes of all kind of creatures, it is hard to imagine that they would remain much sane while adopting all kind of traits of the animals that they are composed out off. This result that a chimaera is often an enemy that is wildly attacking targets left and right or is at best capable of some intelligence that is just very limited (and prone to be falling back to a primitive mix of desires).
  • Infertile: Chimaeras aren't capable of reproducing themselves in any natural way.
